ONLINE READINESS // Prepare for online courses! This free, short course will help you determine your readiness for online classwork.
                              This orientation focuses on how to access and use Canvas, the primary learning management
                              system used by your instructors. A self-assessment and introductions to other technology
                              resources will be covered.
Enrollment: You can self-enroll for this course at any time. This course is self-directed. No
                              instructor feedback is provided.
Duration: Total of 4-8 hours for most students.

Wenatchee Valley College (WVC) offers students the opportunity to take courses partially
                              or fully online and to apply earned credits to their program of study. These different
                              course delivery formats* provide flexibility and a more diverse set of options for students
                              who might have difficulty attending classes on campus in Wenatchee or Omak. You can access several of the tools and learning technologies used most frequently
                              in all types of course formats,* including face-to-face, through the resources below:
| Student PortalThe Student Portal is your personal access point for key information as you progress through your college journey. Here you can view your transcript and grades, class and finals schedules, notifications from your instructors, contact information for your academic adviser, and more! | 
| CanvasCanvas is the learning management tool used by most faculty, regardless of course format, to communicate and provide students with access to important course information, such as: course navigation tips, course syllabi, instructional materials, assignments, grading rubrics, grades, and discussion boards. | 
| Virtual DesktopDid you know that from your home you can use virtual desktop to access your full WVC desktop, including Microsoft Office and the files you save on campus? Students and faculty may now log in from any computer or mobile device using either a VMware application or a browser. Students in classes requiring specialized software may see additional applications. | 
| eTutoringAll WVC students have access to free online tutoring in a variety of academic subjects, from Humanities to Social Sciences to Natural and Applied Sciences. eTutoring includes access to an Online Writing Lab, live tutoring via eChat, and an eQuestions service through which you can expect researched responses within 48 hours. |
