Study Abroad
Do you want to see the world? Would you be interested in studying abroad? Well this is your chance! WVC has partnered with the Washington State Community College Consortium for Study Abroad (WCCCSA) to offer students an affordable study abroad opportunity. Students have the opportunity to travel to countries like England, France, Spain, Costa Rica, Germany, and more. The credits earned while studying abroad can also help you complete WVC degree requirements. No foreign language knowledge is required to participate but some age restrictions do apply.
The schedule below is subject to change based on travel restrictions due to the pandemic.
- Spring 2023: Rome, Italy - Early Bird application deadline (save $100!) is Friday, October 28, 2022. Final application deadline is Wednesday, January 4, 2023.
- WCCCSA will offer one $1000 study abroad scholarship for students applying to the spring 2023 Rome, Italy program. The WCCCSA scholarship application is due Wednesday, January 4, 2023.
- If you are a Pell Grant recipient, apply for the Gilman Study Abroad Scholarship by Tuesday, October 4, 2022 for a chance to receive up to $5000 toward study abroad. More information can be found at www.gilmanscholarship.org.
- Summer 2023: Costa Rica - Application deadline Spring 2023.
- WCCCSA will offer two $500 study abroad scholarships for students applying to the summer 2023 study abroad program.
- If you are a Pell Grant recipient, apply for the Gilman Study Abroad Scholarship by Tuesday, October 4, 2022 for a chance to receive up to $5000 toward study abroad. More information can be found at www.gilmanscholarship.org.
- Fall 2023: Cusco, Peru - Application deadline Thursday, June 1, 2023.
- WCCCSA will offer two $1000 study abroad scholarships for students applying to the fall 2023 Cusco, Peru program.
- If you are a Pell Grant recipient, apply for the Gilman Study Abroad Scholarship by Tuesday, March 7, 2023 for a chance to receive up to $5000 toward study abroad. More information can be found at www.gilmanscholarship.org.
- Fall 2023: Tokyo, Japan - Application deadline June 2023.
