Meet our Board
Livia Millard
President
Livia Millard is a former tenured faculty member at Wenatchee Valley College Omak. Livia has decades of experience working in American Indian education. She has written curriculum for OSPI Indian education and Spokane School District 81. She is a former executive director for Indian Education Center 3 at Gonzaga University and most recently, interim principal at Paschal Sherman Indian School. Born and raised in the Omak area and on the Colville Reservation, she descends from the Umatilla (Cayuse) and Colville tribes (Wenatchi and Entiat Bands).
As a first-generation college student, Livia understands community needs. Livia is an advocate towards a better world in climate change, sustainable living, eliminating human trafficking, and promoting diversity, equity and inclusion. Livia received her Bachelor's of Education from Eastern Washington University and a Master’s in Education from Gonzaga University. Livia resides in Omak, and her hobbies are gardening, food preservation, working on her farm, community organizing and spending time with her family.

Jennifer Short
Treasurer
Jennifer Short is a WVC Omak alum. She earned a Bachelor in Education in Bilingual/English Second Language, a Washington State Teaching Certificate, and a master's degree in Education in Learning and Technology with an ESL focus from Western Governors University. She has been a WVC Omak Foundation board member since 1999. She also works as the director of Community Grants at the Community Foundation of North Central Washington.
