Associate in Applied Science-Transfer Degree
The associate in applied science - transfer degree (AAS-T) is designed to build upon the technical courses required for job preparation but also includes a college-level general education component, common in structure for all such degrees. In general, technical degree programs are not designed for transfer to other colleges and universities. However, several four-year colleges and universities have specific bachelor’s degree programs that accept AAS-T degrees. WVC currently offers AAS-T degrees in:
- Agriculture
- Business Computer Technology
- Early Childhood Education
- Criminal Justice
- Graphic Design
- Natural Resources
- Nursing
- Outdoor Recreation Management
- Pharmacy Technician
Students seeking to transfer into degree programs other than those specifically designed for the AAS-T are urged to consider the Direct Transfer Agreement (Associate of Arts and Science) or Associate of Science-Transfer (AS-T) in preparation for transfer. Majors outside the specifically designed degrees listed above likely will accept very few of the credits in the AAS-T degree (English composition, college-level math, and other general education courses will transfer.)
