Closure of the College

200.200 CLOSURE OF THE COLLEGE POLICY

The president of the college or the authorized designee is authorized to act in the name of the board of trustees of Community College District No. 15 regarding closure of the college. He or she is delegated the power to cancel classes, to close the campus, to close any or all campus buildings or portions thereof or other facilities currently under the supervision of the college, and to close the college for a stated or indefinite period of time, if he or she deems it necessary in order to prevent material and substantial interference of the educational process or to prevent endangering the health, safety, or well-being of persons, their property, or college property.

If the district president or authorized designee determines it is necessary to close the college, employees may be required to provide those services that were interrupted by the closure at a later date.
