Rob Fitch was hired in September of 1989 and has taught in the WVC Science Department since that time.
Committees
Current Science Division Chair; Biology Department Chair. Has served on Professional Development, Curriculum, Safety and Marketing Committees as well as numerous hiring, pre-tenure and post-tenure committees.
Student Club Advisor
Rob is the faculty advisor for the Delta Christian Student Club and the Science Explorations Club.
Awards
1997-98 Outstanding Faculty Member of the Year Award. 2011-12 WVC Spirit Award.
Extracurricular Activities
In the summers, Rob teaches at Walla Walla University's Rosario Beach Marine Laboratory adjacent to Deception Pass State Park near Anacortes, Washington. In addition, he teaches biology and anatomy and physiology labs for high school students who are home-schooled.
Rob's hobbies include ocean activities, travelling, racquet sports, softball, folk/worship music, and his family. Rob and his wife Kathy attend Hope Community Church in Wenatchee.
